Welcome back! We hope everyone had a relaxing Spring Break. This is just a reminder that state testing will begin April 10th and will conclude on May 4th. Each grade level will test for a total of six school days, and will only test in the mornings. It is very important that students eat a good breakfast, and are at school on time every day during their testing days. On May 9th we will have our annual Test Fest for students who follow the 5 testing rules:
1. Be at school everyday and on time during your testing days
2. Be respectful of other testers (do not cause a disturbance)
3. Be respectful of the technology equipment.
4. Try your best on the test (leave nothing blank)
5. Be engaged in the test for at least 60 minutes of testing time.
Here are the testing days for each grade level:
7th grade (April 10th – April 17th)
6th grade (April 18th – April 25th)
8th grade (April 26th – May 3rd)
May 4th will be a day for make ups.
For our 8th grade students, LEAP 2025 will be a high stakes test. This means that students must score at least Basic in either ELA or Math and Approaching Basic in the other subject in order to be promoted to the 9th grade. We are confident that all of our students can achieve this goal, however there will be a free summer remediation course offered to students who do not meet this requirement. Test scores will not be out until the end of June so please be vigilant for a letter in the mail or a phone call as to wether your 8th grader will need to attend remediation or not.
