This class is designed to help improve reading comprehension. Class time is divided into three parts: computer, small group, and independent reading. Each thirty-minute segment has its own grading criteria. The ultimate goal for each student is to perform at the basic or higher level on standardized testing AND have an on-level or higher lexile level by the end of the school year.
Students will need a folder or binder, which will remain in the classroom, pens, pencils, dividers, and loose leaf paper. Art supplies such as markers and crayons will also be used in class. Boys are to bring kleenex and girls bring baby wipe refills.
