Overview of Unit:
All About Me Unit
There is no one in the world like you. You may look like your relatives, have similar interests as others, or even have a twin sister or brother, but you are one of a kind. You have different feelings, experiences, and likes or dislikes then your friends or family members. This is what makes you, YOU! It is important to understand and appreciate who you are as a person. You are important! You are amazing! You are different! YOU ARE UNIQUE! You are YOU and no one can ever be you….except YOU!
Our goal with this unit is to really dig deeper and explore who you are as a person. First, we will start with a student interview. You will answer various questions and elaborate on your life. Next, you will interview a relative/guardian to learn more about them. Learning more about them means learning more about you! Included in the relative/guardian interview is a family tree. You will complete a family tree and get to see how many relatives you really do have! Next, you’ll create a personal timeline. After, we will research the country/countries your ancestors came from and dig a little deeper into your roots. Finally, we will create PowerPoint Presentation all about you that you will present to the class!
